As the battle against Kush drugs intensifies in our nation, the Harbour Police Division in Freetown carried out a significant operation on March 26, 2024, resulting in the arrest of Kush distributors. This intelligence-led dawn raid was conducted by a joint team of police personnel from the Harbour Police Division. Among those apprehended was 40-year-old Ibrahim Conteh, also known as “Erifo”, who is the drug lord of Kelson Lane in Ferry Dockyard, located in the eastern part of Freetown. He was found in possession of several sachets of Kush and 132 wraps of Kush, along with a substantial quantity of Cannabis Sativa (Jamba).
In a similar operation, the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division apprehended four drug kingpins operating at the Peace Market in Ferry Junction. Among them was the elusive 24-year-old Saffiatu Jalloh and her associates. They were found with a significant stash of Kush and Cannabis Sativa (Jamba). This successful operation is a major boost in our ongoing fight against drug trafficking, as the Sierra Leone Police remain steadfast in their commitment to combat this menace across every corner of our country
