Two Sierra Leoneans, Dr. Yakama Manty Jones and Phebean Swill, are among the nominees for the prestigious Forty Under 40 Africa Award.
The award honours and showcases young business leaders from various industries who have excelled in their fields and contributed to society. They have all achieved remarkable success before reaching the age of 40.
Dr. Yakama is a renowned economist who has worked in different sectors and founded Peninsula Innovative Group. She is in the running for the Logistics and Supply category. Swill, who is a journalist, actress, and founder of Wow Studio, is competing in the Theatre and Arts category. The nominations cover a wide range of sectors such as banking, finance, energy, family business, agriculture, theatre, arts, journalism, fashion, law, sports, event management, health, technology, and innovation. Some of the other notable nominees are Richmond Kwame Frimpong, Nathaniel Ike, Manal Ghattas, Chinenye Ebele Onuorah, Charles Oduk, and more.
