Gift Orban, the talented young player from Genk, is poised to make his debut for the Leone Stars against the Super Eagles in Monrovia on June 18th, as part of the AFCONQ clash.
Orban has been having a remarkable season in the Belgian top tier, scoring an impressive 15 goals in just 14 matches. He has scored a total of 19 goals across all competitions, including a notable hat trick against rivals Cercle Brugge. Although he had previously declined a call up from the Nigerian team due to personal reasons, Orban is now ready to take the field against Sierra Leone.
The upcoming match is also important for the Leone Stars, who have only accumulated 5 points after four games. Nigeria will face Sierra Leone in June before playing their final tie against São Tomé and Principé in September.
