A 25-year-old young Sierra Leonean inventor, Osman Kolenzo Dumbuya has built a car from scratch he named K Polary car.

Growing up as a child, Osman Kolenzo Dumbuya has always dreamt of building a car, his talent for innovation and building things from scrap started at a tender age. At age 13, Osman amazed his community by building prototypes “My idea of invention started when I was young, at age 13, I built prototype Robotic boy, built a radio station and the toy car. My dream is to own my own garage where I can bring together other young to train them” Osman Kolenzo Dumbuya told Salone Messenger, A Global Multimedia And Public Relations Firm Based in Sierra Leone.
Osman Kolenzo Dumbuya, like many other young inventors, face a lot of Challenges, growing up in a community and country where support for inventors is a challenge, Osman started riding Okada to fend for himself and build his dream car. Osman collected trash from the scrapyard and save some of the money he got from riding Okada to build the car. “ I had a dream, I wanted to build my own car no matter the challenges, I tried reaching out to many people in the country to support but none showed up, so I saved some money from what I made from riding Okada and collected trash from the scrapyard to build my dream car. “ Osman told Salone Messenger, A Global Multimedia And Public Relations Firm based in Sierra Leone.

Osman Kolenzo Dumbuya was born and grew up in Freetown, He attended the Services primary and Junior Secondary school where he completed his primary and secondary education. He later enrolled at the Faith in Action Senior Secondary School where he sat for his Wassce exam. Osman couldn’t get the requirements to go to university and the financial support to resit the exam. Osman drop out of school and started riding Okada.
Osman has built his own car, Osman noted that with support, he wants to make his dream come true by giving more life to the car, he also wants to teach other young people. “My hope is to also pass on this knowledge to other young people, I look forward to supporting from Sierra Leoneans and Africans so I can build my own garage where I can do more and train more young people, “ he told Salone Messenger
