Third and Final Batch of 267 Sierra Leonean Hajj Pilgrims Leaves Makkah for Freetown

The third and final batch of 267 Sierra Leonean home-based Hajj pilgrims has departed Makkah for King Abdulaziz International Airport Hajj Terminal in Jeddah, where they will board their flight back to Freetown.

According to travel arrangements, the pilgrims are expected to leave Jeddah at 21:40 Saudi Arabia time on Tuesday, which is 18:40 Sierra Leone time.

The flight is expected to last about eight hours. The pilgrims are scheduled to arrive at Freetown International Airport in Lungi at 02:40 Sierra Leone time on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

On arrival, the returning pilgrims will be transported by ferry to the Kissy Ferry Terminal in the east end of Freetown in the early hours of Wednesday. They are expected to reunite with family members before heading to their various homes and destinations across the country.

This marks the final return batch of Sierra Leonean pilgrims for this year’s Hajj exercise.
