Originally from Jamaica, Gabriella moved to Florida with her family at the tender age of 13. She quickly settled into her new environment and enrolled in Miramar High School, where she demonstrated not only academic excellence but also an impressive prowess in athletics, participating in softball and track events. Her dedication and hard work earned her a high school diploma with an exceptional 5.00 cumulative grade point average.
Gabriella always harbored a dream of continuing her studies immediately after high school, but the exorbitant cost of college education posed a significant hurdle. Fearful of being burdened with student loans, she decided to explore scholarship opportunities before graduating from high school.
“I realized that there were people out there willing to invest in my education and believed in my dreams, granting me the chance to attend college without financial worries. That’s when I decided to seize every scholarship opportunity that came my way,” Gabriella explained.
