Earle City’s youngest mayor, Jaylen Smith, was recently honored at the Rainbow Push 33rd Annual MLK Celebration in Chicago, IL. The 19-year-old mayor was presented the award, coming to represent Earle City. Smith shared his gratitude on Facebook, offering praise to God for the blessing and opportunity to participate in such a powerful event.
In his post on his Facebook account, Smith stated that he was “beyond grateful and blessed to be living my dream!” He expressed his gratitude for the recognition he received and for the influence he has been able to make in his community. Smith is thankful for the chance to be an example to other young people, showing that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
