18-year-old Aylah Bricks of Twiggs County, Georgia has achieved great success in her academic career, becoming the valedictorian and the most outstanding graduate at her high school. Aylah’s success has earned her $4.5 million in scholarships from 113 universities and colleges across the country.

Aylah also obtained a very selective Gates Scholarship, and was one of the 300 recipients chosen from a pool of 34,000 applicants. The scholarship covers a student’s full tuition and costs including, fees, books, room and board and transportation. To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must rank in the top 10% of their graduating class and show involvement in extracurricular and community service activities.

In addition to the Gates Scholarship, Aylah collected an impressive string of awards in her academic career; she was the valedictorian at her high school in the first, eighth and twelfth grades, an achievement she proudly shared on her LinkedIn page.

It is clear to see that Aylah’s hard work, determination and dedication to her studies have paid off, and she is certainly a source of pride for Twiggs County.

“A 3 TIME VALEDICTORIAN (1st Grade; 8th Grade; 12th Grade) AT TWIGGS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL,” she said
