Sandra Jusu Named 2021 laureate of the For Women In Science Awards by the Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO
We are pleased to announce that the Sierra Leonean, Sandra Jusu (photo) was last month awarded as the winner of the For Women In Science 2021 Prize by the Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO during the official ceremony in Kigali, Rwanda.
This prize aims to promote women scientists in Africa in order to strengthen their visibility and representativeness in the science sector. Each year 20 Young Talent doctoral and post-doctoral students are rewarded for their research subject and its impact on society as well as the African continent.
They benefit from a financial grant and support in the form of training in leadership, negotiation, communication, etc.
