Meet Hawanatu Koroma, Young Sierra Leonean Actress And Philanthropist Changing The Movie Narrative In The Movie Industry

Actress Hawanatu Koroma commonly known as Natu was born on the 26th September 1990 in Sierra Leone, West Africa by her Sierra Leonean parents in Freetown.

She left Sierra Leone at the age of 12yrs old just after the civil war in the country. She left for Senegal to get her  Visa prepared with her mother and two sisters where they stayed for one year completely.


Hawanatu later traveled to the United States of America where she did her primary, secondary, high school, and university education.

After six years Hawanatu decided to join the film industry after discovering her talents in acting. She is also into music and modeling as a professional career.

Hawanatu has done a lot of projects for many people in America in different sectors of entertainment.

In 2020 she decided to start her own production company called NATU TV, so far she has written her first film produced by her. The movie is also on her YouTube channel titled DOUBLE-CROSS.

Many people have been complaining that the movie is too short and that they would love to get the full length, so she has decided to bring her full team together to get the complete story done.


Apartment from Double Cross, is also working on another bigger project that will be premiered in America and her home country Sierra Leone.


Havanatu is working as a trained Nurse in the United States of America.


Hawanatu is the Executive Director of Young Talent Charity Agency Sierra Leone. The team is doing a great job in helping children by sending them to school and providing school materials and foodstuff for them in Sierra Leone. The organization is more focused on helping poor and vulnerable children to help them access modern education.
