Musa Tombo explains why his move to Kaizer Chiefs failed and why he boycotted the home based national team camp to play in a local community game.
“There are people who spoiled the deal for me. They called Kaizer Chiefs and told them a lot of negative things about me, so they spoiled everything. These people include the chairman of the club (Bo Rangers) that I played for here in Sierra Leone and someone at the FA who had my passport.
“I was meant to go to South Africa for medicals and other stuff, but they refused and insisted that I should go and play in the CHAN qualifier. They called Kaizer Chiefs and said a lot of negative things which spoiled everything. Kaizer Chiefs bought me that ticket, but it has been cancelled now. I now have to wait for another opportunity.”
